Inside the Experience
VENICE RAMEN, nestled in the heart of Marina Del Rey at 515 Washington Blvd, is a gem for ramen enthusiasts seeking an authentic and satisfying experience. This cozy spot brings the spirit of traditional Japanese chuka soba alive with handmade noodles that strike a perfect balance—soft yet resilient, absorbing the rich, savory broth with every slurp. The attention to detail in noodle craftsmanship is palpable, giving each bowl a distinctive texture that truly sets VENICE RAMEN apart from other local contenders.
The menu may be concise, but it is thoughtfully curated to highlight the essentials—each dish crafted with care. The Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen stands out with its deep, soulful broth that’s both comforting and robust, complemented by tender pork that melts effortlessly. Equally impressive is their shrimp fried rice, which delivers a perfect harmony of wok hei and subtle seasoning, proving to be a wonderful companion to the ramen offerings. The gyoza, generously filled and juicy, further rounds out the meal with its satisfying burst of flavor.
Venice Ramen’s intimate setting invites diners into a warm, approachable environment where excellent service heightens the overall experience. Staff are friendly and attentive, managing the bustling crowds without missing a beat, though during peak hours it's worth noting that online ordering may be temporarily paused to maintain quality and flow. Still, this only adds to the charm and authenticity of dining here—often the best way to savor their food is to visit in person when the atmosphere hums with energy and anticipation.
Having tasted their offerings, I can attest that VENICE RAMEN delivers not just on flavor, but on the entire ramen experience—handcrafted noodles, inviting broth, and well-executed side dishes in a setting that feels both genuine and inviting. For those craving a true taste of Japanese comfort food with a California twist, VENICE RAMEN is a destination not to be missed.
“ Place was rocking last week when we ordered, but the staff was friendly and the food was so delicious. Please note that they may turn off online ordering/Doordash during busy periods, but you can order for later in the night when they are less busy. We tried a pork ramen dish and the shrimp fried rice and both were great. ”
“ Hands down, best ramen in the area. If you’re a ramen lover, you would know handmade noodles when you bite into them. Soft, but also stiff. Bouncy with thickness of the starch absorbing the broth as you slurp. I never had anything like it and I believe it’s arguably better than Tsujita in Sawtelle. Everyone has their preferences though. Cute small menu and shop. Really makes you feel like you’re in a Japan by the beach. Service was quick as usual. ”
“ Small cozy store. Noodles are made by the chef, texture is great, soup is tasty. The food is satisfying. Service is excellent. ”
“ I tried the ramen here today and really enjoyed it. The Spicy Tonkotsu was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the staff were kind and welcoming. I’m glad I stopped by and would come back again. ”
“ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Venice Ramen, and it was an unforgettable experience! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a fantastic meal. The ramen was cooked to perfection, with a rich and savory broth that complemented the springy noodles beautifully. I opted for the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and it did not disappoint - the pork was tender and flavorful, and the soft-boiled egg added a delightful creaminess to each bite. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who ensured that our needs were met throughout the meal. Overall, I highly recommend Venice Ramen to anyone craving a delicious and authentic ramen experience. Can't wait to come back and try more of their offerings! Bon Appétit ”
